Morrissey hits out at Harvest Records, Royal Family during London show

O2 Arena played host to a rare live appearance and a not-so-unfamiliar rant.

This past weekend, Morrissey played his only UK show of the year at London’s O2 Arena, performing to a sold out crowd.

True to form, he used this opportunity to blast just about everything that’s been on his radar in 2014. Top of the agenda was Harvest Records, the source of his biggest dispute this year. Both parties “parted ways” this summer, following the release of ‘World Peace Is None of Your Business’. When referring to the album, Moz said it “was immediately deleted by a very clever record label.”

He also took aim at the Royal Family, with backing visuals showing images of Prince William and Kate Middleton, coupled with the phrase: “United King-Dumb.”

That’s not forgetting meat. While performing ‘Meat Is Murder’, he said: “I was interested to read in the last couple of days that 75 per cent of chickens sold in the UK are contaminated and poisonous. I thought to myself ‘ha-ha-ha-ha-ha’.” Nicely done.
