Nicolas Jaar announces first solo release in four years
‘Nymphs II’ will be out via Jaar’s Other People label in May this year.
Nicolas Jaar has by no means been absent since releasing ‘Space Is Only Noise’ - his debut LP - back in 2011. Since then he’s started, and consequently ended (though not indefinitely), DARKSIDE, his side project with Dave Harrington, and he’s worked on film scores and remixes. He’s also both closed and opened record labels including his current subscription-based ‘Other People’ label.
In amongst all that goodness Jaar has now revealed that at no point was he not working on solo material. ‘Nymphs II’ which is out via ‘Other People’ on 11th May this year will feature material which has been recorded in New York City over the last four years .
No new music is yet available, but he’s unveiled the below tracklist on the promise that the wait is almost over.
A1 The Three Sides Of Audrey And Why She’s All Alone Now
B1 No One Is Looking At U
