Obonjayar unveils plans for second album ‘PARADISE NOW’
And what better way to mark the occasion than by dropping a single and riding a mechanical bull?

Obongjayar has shared the news that his sophomore LP ‘PARADISE NOW’ will hit shelves on 30th May via September Recordings, as well as announcing an Autumn 2025 UK/EU tour and unveiling a new single, ‘Sweet Danger’.
Since the release of his acclaimed 2022 debut ‘Some Nights I Dream Of Doors’, the Nigerian-born multi-hyphenate has become one of music’s most sought-after voices, working with the likes of longtime collaborator Little Simz (on her huge comeback single ‘Flood’) and electronic titan Fred again.. (on ‘ten days’ highlight ‘adore u’).
Having teased the album news over the past few months via a steady string of singles (including ‘Just My Luck’, ‘Tomorrow Man’, and ‘Not In Surrender’) Obongjayar has now added another track to their number, ‘Sweet Danger’ - a cut which sees him walk the line between risk and reward over sultry rhythms and syncopated, infectious beats.
Watch the Sophie Jones-directed video for ‘Sweet Danger’ - complete with an unlikely mechanical bull ride - below.
Plus, Obongjayar is also due to hit the road this Autumn for a string of UK and European tour dates, including a stop off at London’s Kentish Town Forum - his biggest headline show yet. Tickets will go on general sale on Friday 11th April; you can find out where he’ll be playing below.
