Oceaán announces new ‘Grip’ track, schedules first live dates
Manchester-via-Brussels producer’s new track was debuted by SOHN on Radio 1.
Alongside the airing of a new James Blake song, SOHN’s Radio 1 residency closed with a brand new single from Oliver Cean aka Oceaán, a Manchester-via-Brussels producer bubbling up in 2014 thanks to a debut EP from earlier this year.
His returning gambit, ‘Grip’, sheds the streamlined songwriting that Cean was flirting with on his previous release. This time he’s gone the whole hog with more garage-inclinced electronics, vocals dipping in and out of focus in a frenetic, heavy-pulsed track that builds into a dagger-sharp monster.
Alongside the new single, Oceaán is readying himself for his first ever live shows. Check out dates above the player.
