POND air ‘30000 MEGATONS’ from new album
Aussies share track early, because “today seems like the right time.”
Australian psych-heads Pond have unveiled ‘30000 MEGATONS’, a track from their forthcoming new album.
A space-rooted, call and response wash of synths defines the track, and it’s been shared early. “This song was going to be released with the rest of the album,” Nick Allbrook and co. explain. “…but today it seems like the right time.”
The track links up with ‘Sweep Me Off My Feet’, a Kevin Parker-produced lead single from the new album. A follow-up to 2013’s ‘Hobo Rocket’ is due out in early 2017.
