Pond predict a riot in their new video for ‘30000 Megatons’

They’ve also announced a tour of America for April and May.

Aussie oddballs Pond recently announced that they would be releasing their new album ‘The Weather’ on 5th May and now they’ve just unveiled a new video for the cosmic, call-and-response based ‘30000 Megatons’.

Directed by Ashley Rommelrath, the clip pieces together footage of music festivals with images of overcrowding, riots, and military operations. Rommelrath also includes some slightly more lurid advertising, and there’s even a cheeky shot of a monitor advertising Donald Trump and Mike Pence’s Presidential campaign. Inevitably, it all ends in a mushroom cloud. Well, the track is called ‘30000 Megatons’.

The band have also pencilled in plans for a US tour spanning across April and May. The sates take place after the band’s appearances at Coachella, and take them across the length and breadth of the States (with a quick stop off in Vancouver and Toronto in the middle of it all for good measure).
