Rat Boy announces new album ‘Internationally Unknown’ with Rancid’s Tim Armstrong

The record - out next January - is being previewed by its title track.

Rat Boy and Rancid wouldn’t have been a collaboration we’d have banked on at the beginning of the year, but it’s one we’ve now been given!

The Essex-based singer has announced new album ‘Internationally Unknown’ with the punk legends’ Tim Armstrong.

The new record will come out on 25th January, and is being previewed by a video for its title track.

“I wanted to do this completely differently because [debut album] ‘SCUM’ took so long, and I was learning the whole way through making it,” Jordan Cardy says of the new collaboration.

“I wanted to make something more personal and raw, which reflected me more. I was trying to find that sweet spot between hip-hop and punk, and Tim really understands that stuff. I’ve never really spoken to anyone else who love hip-hop and punk like I do.”
