Reading 2011: The Joy Formidable: “We’re Getting Tracks Down For Our Next Album”
The band tell us they’re working on the follow up to ‘The Big Roar’.

The Joy Formidable have started work on their second album, the follow up to ‘The Big Roar’, which they released earlier this year.
Speaking to bassist Rhydian Dafydd at Reading Festival yesterday (Saturday 27th August), he told DIY: ‘We’ve been recording so we’re busy getting some tracks down for the next album. Today was just getting down and playing, really.
‘We haven’t had a chance to really soak the festival up. After this, we’ll get to see some bands, which we always like to do to soak up the inspiration.’
The Joy Formidable will played Leeds Festival today (Sunday 28th August) on the Main Stage at 12pm. Check back for the full interview later in the week.
