Real Estate debut new song ‘Harpsichord’ live
It’s most probably a preview of their new album, slated for release early next year.
Since founding member Matt Mondanile left the band to focus on his other project Ducktails, its been all change at camp Real Estate. At the end of August, they confirmed that their first record without Mondanile was almost finished, adding that it’ is “tentatively slated for early 2017.”
Now, they’ve started airing early previews live. Playing in Atlanta’s Project Pabst festival, Real Estate debuted a new song. As Pitchfork points out, though the song is titled ‘Harp’ on the band’s setlist, a representative confirmed that the full song title is ‘Harpsichord’.
This new Real Estate album will be the band’s first since 2014’s ‘Atlas’. It will also be their first album with replacement member Julian Lynch.
