News Riz Ahmed announces new album, ‘The Long Goodbye’

It’s “a breakup album - but with your country”.
Riz Ahmed has announced details of a new album.
‘The Long Goodbye’ will be released on 6th March, was produced alongside Swet Shop Boys collaborator Redinho, and comes alongside a short film directed by Aneil Karia.
“The record is a breakup album - but with your country,” explains Riz. “So many of us feel like we’re being dumped by the place we call home, a home that we built. This album takes you on the journey of this breakup; through the stages of denial, anger, acceptance, and finally self-love to counter the hate.”

He’s also announced details of two live shows - at Manchester International Festival, and Brooklyn’s Academy of Music.
