Röyksopp hint at forthcoming album by previewing new version of Robyn collaboration, ‘Monument’
Hear a snippet of ‘The Inevitable End Version’, complete with trademark bassline.
Summer 2014 partly belonged to Röyksopp and Robyn and their collaborative mini-album, ‘Do It Again’. A spur of the moment release in some senses, it served its purpose in tiding fans over to material from the Norwegian producers and the Swedish star, while hinting at the direction both would end up going in.
It looks as if Röyksopp are first out the blocks in releasing new material of their own. The production duo have previewed a new version of ‘Monument’, the opening track on ‘Do It Again’. This is going under the name, ‘The Inevitable End’, serving as an “indication of things to come”.
A tongue-in-cheek description goes on to explain that “It includes the Röyksopp trademark bass line that no-one else can achieve.”
