Out Friday!
The incredible Self Esteem is the cover star & guest editor of DIY’s July 2021 issue
Our July 2021 issue - which lands next Friday - also features Little Simz, Biffy Clyro, Laura Mvula and more.
Ever since Rebecca Taylor first emerged with her solo project, us lot at DIY were hooked. From providing a refreshing - and frankly reassuring - reminder of the power of women with her debut ‘Compliments Please’, through to getting us all out of our slouchy lockdown states with her Instagram Live workouts, via her rather iconic Boots Advantage Card dress, she’s been playing the pop game differently. She’s owned it so far.
And when her recent track ‘I Do This All The Time’ - a candid but ultimately empowering reminder that abiding by society’s rules is overrated - landed earlier this year, we knew there’d be no better act to put on the cover for our July edition.
So, without further ado, we’d like to introduce our iconic cover star - and special guest editor(!) - it’s the incredible Self Esteem.
This month, we felt it only right to get Rebecca involved throughout the entire issue: on top of DIY’s usual smorgasbord of interviews - including Little Simz, Biffy Clyro, Laura Mvula, LUMP, ENNY and more - she’s helped to handpick and highlight some of her own favourites, too. Plus, there’s our in-depth chat with Rebecca herself, where we get first word on what’s coming next for the star (*cough*her new album*cough*)…
Want to know more? Of course you do! All will be revealed soon, when our new issue lands next Friday (9th July) but because we’re nice to you, you can pre-order your very own copy right now, and it’ll come whizzing through your letterbox within the next seven days.
