Suede announce 10th album ‘Antidepressants’
The band have shared the LP’s opener ‘Disintegrate’ alongside the news.
Suede have announced their 10th studio album, ‘Antidepressants’, which will be unveiled on 5th September via BMG. The Mercury Prize winning band have also shared a brand new single titled ‘Disintegrate’, which will become the opening track on the record.
‘Antidepressants’ will be the Suede’s first album since they released their highest charting record, ‘Autofiction’, in 2022. This new release will see the group inspired by the energy of their live performances, whilst exploring a yearning for meaningful connections in a digital world.
“If ‘Autofiction’ was our punk record, ‘Antidepressants’ is our post-punk record,” says Brett Anderson, the lead singer of the band. “It’s about the tensions of modern life, the paranoia, the anxiety, the neurosis.
“We are all striving for connection in a disconnected world,” he added. “This was the feel I wanted the songs to have. The album is called ‘Antidepressants’. This is broken music for broken people.”
