Sundara Karma announce debut album ‘Youth Is Only Ever Fun In Retrospect’ with new ‘She Said’ track

The band embrace the late summer sun on their latest single, streaming first on DIY.

Festival season might be drawing to a close with Reading & Leeds so close you can taste the tinnies, but Sundara Karma have snuck in a last-minute entry for its defining anthem. With ‘She Said’, the band’s new single, they’re gunning straight for the hearts and sore throats of crowds in the thousands.

All sunny-side up, jangling guitars and a unifying sense of purposelessness, it’s an ode to those nights that start with those immortal words - “I kinda wanna go out dancing” - and the hazy memories that implant themselves come sunrise.

It’s the first track to be taken from ‘Youth Is Only Ever Fun In Retrospect’, Sundara Karma’s long-awaited debut album. That’s set for a 6th January release via RCA / Chess Club Records.

Sundara Karma play Reading & Leeds this weekend, and they’re bringing ‘She Said’ along for the ride. DIY have the first spin of the single below, with the band’s September headline tour dates under the player.
