Listen Tegan and Sara announce ‘Hey, I’m Just Like You’ track listing, share ‘I’ll Be Back Someday’

They’ll also be releasing their first memoir ‘High School’ next month.
With their ninth studio album ‘Hey, I’m Just Like You’ set for release next month, Tegan and Sara are sharing their infectious first single ‘I’ll Be Back Someday’. “We had been begging for an electric guitar, and on our 16th birthday, we got one,” Sara recalls of a pivotal moment in their life from which this track is based. “Of course, we had to share it, so it became a weapon that we stole from each other’s rooms, barricading ourselves behind locked doors with guitar in hand. Screaming over the small amplifier, we tested our voices by writing punk songs, shredding our thumbs on the strings.”
Their upcoming album, and memoir ‘High School’, is all based on the twin sisters looking back at important moments in their lives, telling the story of their formative years. “This is the record we never could have made as teenagers, full of songs we never could have written as adults,” the pair say.
With the album released on 27th September, their memoir will be available from the 24th. Check out the record’s track listing below.
