The Great Escape 2014: Wild Beasts, Royal Blood To Play Day Two

Brighton’s new music showcases continue with sets from These New Puritans, Glass Animals and more.

Following yesterday’s all-action opening, Brighton’s The Great Escape continues with another full schedule of exciting new bands.

Of the more established musicians playing day two, the fest’s outstanding bill takes place at the Brighton Dome, where Wild Beasts headline a show that also features These New Puritans (their last show as a septet) and Leeds newcomers Adult Jazz. Performances kick of at 8pm.

Elsewhere, during the daytime shows, Jaws (1.15pm, Komedia) preview their debut album and Honeyblood continue yesterday’s rich form with a set at the Dome Studio Theatre, 1pm.

As the night goes on, sets arrive from Glass Animals (8.15pm, Coalition), NYC trio Ratking (9.15pm, The Haunt) and thrillseekers Pup (9.30pm, Bermuda Triangle). After that, some of the defining shows of the festival arrive from Royal Blood (11pm, Corn Exchange) and exciting New Yorkers Public Access TV (11.30pm, The Haunt). Keep an eye out for this year’s special guests too - they play a secret set at The Haunt at quarter past midnight.
