The Maccabees reunite to headline All Points East 2025

This is not a drill!

The Maccabees reunite to headline All Points East 2025

It’s official: The Maccabees are back! The beloved band have confirmed that they are reuniting, eight years after they originally called it a day, for a sure-to-be-historic headline turn at All Points East 2025.

They’re set to take to the stage in East London’s Victoria Park on Sunday 24th August 2025 - what will be their first live show since bidding farewell with three sold-out nights at Alexandra Palace in 2017.

The news comes after the band updated their social media accounts with a new logo last week and deleted the Instagram post announcing their breakup, prompting fans everywhere to rejoice (and immediately start speculating on the nature of their presumed impending announcement).

Releasing their debut album ‘Colour It In’ in 2007, The Maccabees put out three more LPs over the next eight years - ‘Wall Of Arms’ (2009), ‘Given To The Wild’ (2012), and ‘Marks To Prove It’ (2015) - before all going on to find success in other endeavors: vocalist Orlando Weeks has released three solo albums and become a published author, while Felix and Hugo White have carved out careers in broadcasting and shared their debut LP as 86TVS this year.

For years, the split felt as if it was a definitive one, but now the band are back together - for All Points East, and also to celebrate the ten year anniversary of ‘Marks To Prove It’. What’s more, The Maccabees are also working with the festival to curate the rest of the day’s lineup, bringing together a bill of artists past and present beloved by the band.

Speaking about the huge news, Felix has commented that: “in the intervening years we’ve been to All Points East a lot, separately. It’s become a bit of a landmark festival for us, always checking who’s on the line-up. I’d go and have a great time throughout the day, but there was always this pinch of regret watching headliners that we could’ve done it ourselves one day too. I thought that moment had passed, and it was something I was prepared to come to terms with that I was always going to miss. I think we’re all kind of shocked and excited that we get to do it together again.”

Demand for The Maccabees’ headline day at All Points East is expected to be huge, so fans can sign up to the band’s mailing list here to gain access to pre-sale, which opens at 10am on Wednesday 30th October. Remaining tickets will then go on general sale at 10am on Thursday 31st October here
