The National-Curated ATP Sees Wild Beasts Perform ‘Smother’ In Full

A new wave of additional acts have been announced for this year’s ATP Nightmare Before Christmas (the one curated by The National, not Shellac, of course.)

First up, will be Wild Beasts performing the whole of their latest release ‘Smother’, alongside The Philistines JR and Pedro Soler & Gaspar Claus.

Also joining the line up will be Ethan Lipton performing ‘No Place To Go’.

The event recently announced that it would be moving from their planned location at Butlins in Minehead, to the festival’s original venue of Pontins’ Camber Sands.

The official statement reads as follows:

‘Butlins have decided to end their six year relationship with the festival. In reaction to this ATP will move The National’s event to our original home - the recently refurbished Pontins holiday camp in Camber Sands - on the same dates this December. The venue is just over an hour’s drive from the London area. All original ticket bookings remain valid, and refunds will be available until the end of June for those who no longer wish to attend following this change. More info on the location including details of the refurbishments (including upgrades to accommodation and venues) is available here. If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected] and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.’

The National play their only 2012 UK date at ATP, which is to be held between the 7th and 9th December 2012.

The event will feature around 40 live acts playing across the weekend, as well as DJs until late, Cinema and Book Club both curated by The National.

Tickets are priced at £180 per person for festival entry + accommodation in self catered apartments, on sale this Thursday via www.atpfestival.com.
