George Ezra - London, The Lexington

Bristol boy George Ezra’s not giving himself the most laid back of touring schedules. Three months of gigs include this quick London stopover, which practically sold out in seconds. He’s in our Class of 2014 for a reason.

FFNORDZZ - It’s A Hit!

Sarcy, sharp-witted slacker punk is exactly what’s on the menu for FFNORDZZ. He’s like a walking ironic Tumblr, the way he churns out riff-stuffed punk with dramatic artwork every few weeks. We last featured the Plymouth resident back in September with ‘Pop Stardom’. Looks like none of his ambition’s been sapped away - ‘IT’S A HIT!’ is the best reason yet to bring back Top of the Pops.

Black Gold Buffalo - AMILLION

It’s been over a year since Keziah Stilwell aka Black Gold Buffalo arrived on the scene with ‘Cluster’, a sweet, perfectly-formed pop number that hinted at big things ahead. She’s since stayed out of the limelight, evidently putting all her energy into more sparsely arranged numbers like ‘AMILLION’. Channelling a more motivational Karin Dreijer, the song sways and sinks into endless grace.
