The Strokes share ‘Drag Queen’ from forthcoming EP, ‘Future Present Past’

Announced earlier today, the EP is out NEXT WEEK!

Phew! As if ONE NEW STROKES SONG wasn’t enough, they’ve only gone and shared another number from that oh-so-eagerly anticipated EP out next week. ‘Future Present Past’ was announced earlier this afternoon (26th May) via Julian Casablancas’ own Sirius XMU radio show ‘Culture Void’ along with the first airing of track ‘OBLIVIUS’ and tbqh we’ve never seen our Twitter mentions this excited. Ever.

(For ‘fact fans’ there’s a pretty detailed synopsis of what the New Yorkers have been up to over the past 24 hours or so, here).

‘Drag Queen’ is the number that Zane Lowe has just premiered on his Beats 1 radio show, with just ‘Threat of Joy’ and drummer Fab Moretti’s remix of ‘OBLIVIUS’ remaining unheard.

EDIT: ‘Threat of Joy’ was played on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show later this evening.

Listen to ‘Drag Queen’ below.

EDIT 2: Listen to the whole lot below via Spotify.

The Strokes headline next weekend’s Governors Ball in NYC, playing a one-off headline date at the city’s Capitol Theater to warm up.
