The Strokes are planning to release more new music next year

Off the back of releasing their ‘Future Present Past’ EP earlier this year, The Strokes’ Nick Valensi has revealed they’re at work on more new music; with plans to release it next year.
Speaking to NME, Valensi said of his band’s future: “The Strokes are alive and well and living in New York City. We are working on music and we want to hopefully put music out next year.”
He added that things are very much in the early stages, mind. “If I start saying a lot now, people get too excited,” Valensi added. “Then there’s all this hype you’ve got to compete with, and that’s not fun. If anything, I’d rather just pull a Beyonce at some point next year and just drop shit.”
There you go then.
Outside of The Strokes, Nick Valensi is preparing to release a debut album with his other project CRX. ‘New Skin’ is on 28th October, and was produced by Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme.
