The Vaccines, Elbow & Snoop Dogg for Kendal Calling 2015
Kaiser Chiefs and James are also confirmed as this year’s headliners.
The Vaccines, Elbow and Snoop Dogg have been confirmed as three of the headliners for this year’s Kendal Calling.
The Lake District fest, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, has also confirmed plans to expand to a four-day event, set to take place from 30th July to 2nd August.
Elsewhere at the top of the bill, the likes of Kaiser Chiefs and James are leading the way, with The Horrors, British Sea Power, Palace and Kate Tempest amongst the other acts confirmed to perform in this first announcement.
Speaking of the fest’s tenth birthday, festival founder Andy Smith has said: “Since its humble beginnings as an teensy-eensy one and a half stage festival held in the grounds of a town centre art gallery back in 2006 to its current home spread across the stunning 300 acre Lowther Deer Park, home to our 12 stages (and more to come), it’s been an incredible journey. I think it’s fair to say this year’s line-up is going to take some beating though with an expanded festival seeing 5 headliners over 4 days and an eclectic spread across all stages, but the real beauty is in the atmosphere of the audience and that’s what it’s really about at Kendal.”
The full list of acts confirmed in this first announcement is as follows.
The Vaccines / Elbow / Snoop Dogg / Kaiser Chiefs / James / Kodaline / The Levellers / The Horrors / Ella Eyre / Embrace / Nick Mulvey / Billy Bragg / Soul II Soul / British Sea Power / Fuse Odg / Lucy Rose / Public Service Broadcasting / Kate Tempest / Mr Scruff / Emmy The Great / Bipolar Sunshine / The Bohicas / Palace / Turbowolf / Walking On Cars / Port Isla / Black Honey / Flyte / Hyde & Beast / Remi Miles / Man Made / Treason Kings / Night Flowers / The Lancashire Hotpots / Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer / Lisbon / Jez Kerr / The Watchmakers / Baggy Mondays / Dave Haslam / Acoustica Presents / Riding The Low / Feed The Kid / James Atkin / Gareth Brooks (XFM) / Beat Boutique / Juicy DJs / Good Viberations / Northern Soul Dance Classes / DJ Megatune / Every Pregnant Brothers / Yucatan / My Little Brother’s Christmas Party / Avec Sans / Freek’n / Northside
