TOPS reveal interactive video for ‘Outside’

TOPS have revealed a new interactive version of their video for ‘Outside’.

The video, which was originally released in October of last year, has been taken and made interactive on a new website by director Fantavious Fritz, filming singer Jane Penny from many angles and compiling the pieces into a web page which users can move around and adapt themselves.

Fritz, who has been responsible for videos from the likes of Tyler, The Creator, explained his reasons for creating the new video:

“Outside” is one of my favourite tracks! It carries such sublime simplicity and unity, like a well-curated collage or painting of sounds. This website came out of a desire to experiment with the internet as a medium and visually portray this idea of collage with video / performance. In “Outside,” the internet serves as a canvas for play with colours, shapes and moving kinetic form, allowing for many different viewings of the piece.”

‘Outside’ appears on TOPS’ 2014 album ‘Picture You Staring’, read the DIY review here.
