Viet Cong announce debut album, stream ‘Continental Shell’

Band have signed to Jagjaguwar for their first full-length.

Viet Cong - a band returning Matt Flegel and Matt Wallace, both formerly of Women - have announced plans to release their self-titled debut album next year.

The Calgary four-piece have signed to Jagjaguwar. They’ll be following up the ‘Cassette’ EP, released earlier in the year.

‘Continental Shelf’ is the lead track from the album, a song that skitters off into a structureless, lucid dream by way of fizzing post punk.

Upfront, uncompromising, the new track is streaming below.

Viet Cong have also announced a run of European dates, beginning in London. They’ll be playing alongside Ought and PC Worship, scattered within headline gigs.
