Watch Damon Albarn, The Horrors, Metronomy Play BBC 6 Music Festival 2014

Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse hosts the 2-day festival - The National headline day two.

Yesterday (28th February) saw BBC 6 Music Festival kick off its inaugural year with a headline set from Damon Albarn.

The Blur-frontman’s set consisted of tracks from his forthcoming solo debut ‘Everyday Robots’, plus a handful of Gorillaz songs; ‘On Melancholy Hill’, ‘Tomorrow Comes Today’, ‘El Manana’; and The Good the Bad and the Queen’s ‘Kingdom Of Doom’.

The Horrors topped stage 2, showcasing the newly unveiled ‘I See You’ in a set more centred around material that’s already out there. They’re clearly still keeping ‘Luminous’ firmly under wraps until its release.

Day One also witnessed performances from Metronomy, Kelis, Midlake and Haim. Watch highlights from yesterday’s sets below.

Today, BBC 6 Music Festival continues with headliners The National closing the 2-dayer. Franz Ferdinand, Lykke Li, James Blake, Wild Beasts and Bombay Bicycle Club are also set to play.
