Watch Kanye West & Jay Z Play ‘Run This Town’ And ‘What You Need’ At SXSW
Samsung SXSW showcase ran directly alongside a Kendrick Lamar/ Schoolboy Q set for iTunes Festival.

As promised, Kanye West and Jay Z opened up SXSW with an all-star ‘Throne’ performance, as part of the Samsung Galaxy showcase. To get in, those with wristbands also needed a Samsung device, which then gave them access to go inside and hold up said device to film the entire concert.
Stereogum notes that the gig ran parallel to Kendrick Lamar and Schoolboy Q’s set at the iTunes Festival showcase. Corporate giants pitting hip-hop megastars against each other? Now that’s what I call SXSW.
