Watch: Röyksopp Unveil ‘Running To The Sea’ Video
Electronic duo transfer lyrics onto road warnings for their new video.
One of these days, lyric videos will go bankrupt. Video-makers will run out of original ideas on how to transfer words to a screen at a sing-along-able pace. Röyksopp’s ‘Running To the Sea’ video is very good, though.
Lyrics sung by Norweigan vocalist Susanne Sundfør get transferred onto an open road, replacing the usual ‘STOP’, ‘SLOW DOWN’, ‘SERIOUSLY STOP NOW’ phrases painted onto the surface with more explorative things like ‘I REMEMBER RUNNING TO THE SEA’.
Röyksopp’s ‘Running To The Sea’ single is released on 16th December.
