Watch the video for Arctic Monkeys’ ‘Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino’
Mark speaking.
Arctic Monkeys have released the video for the title-track of their latest album ‘Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino’ and, to be honest, it’s as weird as we might have expected.
In the video, Alex Turner turns up to the seemingly abandoned Tranquility Base, takes a dip in the hot tub, walks past a sign claiming that The Martini Police (a lyric from other album track ‘Star Treatment’) are playing “2 shows a day, 4 nights a week at the hotel” and, in the song’s chorus, answers a variety of phones as ‘Mark’, from the song’s lyrics. The video for the track was directed by Ben Chappell and Aaron Brown and shot in and around Reno, Nevada.
Arctic Monkeys are playing the UK throughout September. Check out the dates below.
