Watch We Are The Ocean perform ‘Ark’ live in Liverpool
The Essex band headlined the third Dr. Martens #STANDFORSOMETHING Tour 2014 date.
After hitting up venues in Edinburgh and Cardiff, it was now the turn of Liverpool to play host to the Dr. Martens #STANDFORSOMETHING Tour 2014 on 25th October.
With support coming from Arcane Roots and Bad Grammar, Essex band We Are The Ocean were the evening’s headliners, the band coming to the gig fresh from revealing brand new single, ‘Ark’.
“It will have been nearly a year since we played a live show in October,” admitted the band’s Liam Cromby ahead of the gig. “In that time we’ve spent a lot of time writing and crafting new sounds which has been great but there’s nothing quite like the experience of being on stage. It’s been hard but it’ll be worth the wait.
“We’re always looking to explore new sounds with writing; we demoed over twenty songs and I really can’t wait for everyone to hear what we’ve been up to. Since then, we’ve come home and gone straight into the practise rooms. With our headline tour in October, we want to make it the best WATO tour to date with old and some new songs, and maybe a cover or two. After taking a year out it’s really important to us that we come back and give our everything for the fans.”
