Watch Wild Beasts play ‘A Simple Beautiful Truth’ at Glastonbury
The band’s set was delayed following those weather issues.
There was probably a point at which Wild Beasts didn’t think they were going to make it on stage, their set falling immediately after proceedings were paused thanks to that nasty storm.
However, play they did, Hayden Thorpe’s soft, smooth vocals doing a fine job of warming up the John Peel Tent post-hail.
Opening with new single, ‘Mecca’, the Kendal-via-Leeds-via-London band ran through ‘A Dog’s Life’, ‘Wanderlust’ and ‘Daughters’ as well as this - ‘A Simple Beautiful Truth’, which can be viewed below.
Wild Beasts support Arcade Fire at Hyde Park next week, and will play both Bestival and End of the Road later in the year.
