Watch: Weaves clown around in their new ‘Tick’ video

The opener to their ace debut album now has a suitably loopy new video.

Their ace, self-titled album is out today, and Weaves have marked the occasion with a swanky new video for ‘Tick’.

The album opener’s new clip sees the band pestering some poor miserable bloke no end. He can’t even go to a party without the dodgily face-painted four-piece following him there, like the weird kid from school who just won’t sod off.

Lo and behold, the band send him fucking loopy, guitarist Morgan Waters explaining to NPR that he “stares into the void, hears our song and experiences a midlife crisis.” Cheers, lads. Doing your bit, then.

Making Weaves

Difficult second album? Hardly. A year on from their debut, the Canadian odd-pop wonders are back with even more genre-bending anthems and an emotionally open approach to songwriting.
