Wild Beasts have shared versions of two unreleased tracks.

‘Blood Knowledge’ and ‘Soft Future’ are streaming as part of a new GIF novel.

Following on from this year’s ‘Present Tense’ LP, the stories confront the relationship between the organic and the digital.

‘Soft Future’ details the experience of a human in a robotic world whilst ‘Blood Knowledge’ shows the inverse. The interactive animation allows you to switch between the two stories as they run simultaneously, representing the connected nature of the two themes.

Speaking to DIY, Hayden Thorpe said of the project: “We went from the idea of it being a graphic novel to something we could soundtrack and put on the Internet, so it became a GIF, rather than a fixed graphic. I just sat back in awe at how it’s put together. To me, it’s still magic.

The completed GIF-Novel is available to watch in full here.

Tomorrow night, Wild Beasts headline a self-curated ‘Soft Future’ show at Leeds’ Canal Mills, also featuring Evian Christ (DJ) and Fryars.
