Wolf Alice enter the UK Album Charts at Number 2
‘My Love Is Cool’ misses out by just 528 sales to Florence + the Machine.
Wolf Alice have entered the UK Albums Chart at Number 2 with ‘My Love Is Cool’, according to the Official Charts Company.
The band’s debut album misses out on the top spot by just 528 combined sales - made up from physical and downloaded copies, and online streams - to Florence + the Machine’s ‘How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful’, which returns to Number 1 after Friday’s Glastonbury headline slot.
Basically, Dave Grohl’s broken leg just cost Wolf Alice a Number 1 album. Damn you, Dave.
Elsewhere in the charts, Everything Everything debut at 7 with ‘Get To Heaven’, while Leon Bridges is at 8 with debut ‘Coming Home’. Jungle’s self titled effort climbs back into the chart at 31.
The top 5 reads:
1. Florence + the Machine - How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful
2. Wolf Alice - My Love Is Cool
3. Muse - Drones
4. Taylor Swift - 1989
5. Ed Sheeran - X
