Zola Jesus airs ‘Go (Blank Sea)’ from new album
Her ‘Taiga’ LP is out this October.
Zola Jesus is streaming ‘Go (Blank Sea)’, the second track to emerge from her forthcoming new album ‘Taiga’.
Previously Nika Roza Danilova’s shared ‘Dangerous Days’, which seemed to be a concerted effort to streamline her bleak songwriting into something dancier, streamlined and ultimately more euphoric. This latest cut isn’t short on hooks either, but it prefers to explore things at a more unorthodox pace, getting by on “do-oh-oh” yelps and vocals drenched in distortion.
‘Taiga’ is out 7th October on Mute Records.
Listen below to ‘Go (Blank Sea)’. Zola Jesus plays the following UK shows:
OCTOBER
29 Bristol, Colston Hall
30 Leeds, Belgrave Music Hall
31 Glasgow, Stereo
