Holy Fuck - Super Inuit (Live)

Anyone who has seen Holy Fuck will know how great their live act is.

This release does not have the feel of a live recording. So good is the precision and the lack of noisy intervention from the crowd and especially the energy that Holy Fuck seem to have mastered the dubious live releases that have been a flop in many other bands’ discographies. The simplistic progression, similar to those of Kraftwerk, in ‘Super Inuit’ has a very adventurous nature, which when continued into the live environment is surely heading in the direction of the dance floor.

The chaotic style of Holy Fuck is also notable in this performance and when the beats return back into sync again to describe it as impressive is an understatement. Having recently supported Foals on their UK tour, they have understandably drawn comparisons. These have been fuelled by the split 7” tour-only release of those bands playing each other’s songs. But the two things that Foals and Holy Fuck have most in common are undoubtedly an amazing live performance and equally fantastic drumming. The syncopated pounding drums are constantly whirling ‘Super Inuit’ all over the place and tying it in hugely complicated knots.

Anyone who has seen Holy Fuck will know how great their live act is. Now, due to the release of this brilliant live single, there is concrete proof in their ability.
