Jack Garratt - Worry

‘Worry’ doesn’t fret or cave into pressure, in a take from Jack Garratt’s debut EP.

“I’m always writing songs differently. I want to be the guy who can’t be pigeonholed,” said Jack Garratt in a DIY interview earlier this year. It’s this kind of determined, over-thinking stance that’d trip up an artist who’d be better off going with the flow. But on ‘Worry’, Garratt gives testament to the fact that maybe sometimes musicians should fret about their next move.

Jack’s first two tracks have picked up over 100k plays respectively, stats that keep just about anyone awake into the ungodly hours. ‘Worry’ doesn’t cave into pressure. Instead it takes the newcomer’s bass wobbles and soul-spliced routine, giving it a supremely confident sheen. Not to worry, then. Garratt’s onto a winner.

Jack Garratt’s ‘Remnants’ EP is out 14th July.
