Simon Le Bon!
Charli XCX, Chvrches, Raury & more to feature on Lorde’s ‘The Hunger Games’ soundtrack
Bat For Lashes, Haim, The Chemical Brothers and Tove Lo also feature.

The full details have emerged for Lorde’s ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Pt.1’ soundtrack, which accompanies the penultimate instalment of the Jennifer Lawrence-starring film series.
Lorde is curating the soundtrack and so far she’s unveiled the lead, ‘Yellow Flicker Beat’ track. Last night Zane Lowe on Radio 1 gave the first play to the Chemical Brothers’ ‘This Is Not a Game’ (featuring Miguel and Lorde) and now a full tracklist has been detailed.
DIY cover star Charli XCX is set to contribute a song called ‘Kingdom’, featuring Duran Duran’s Simon Le Bon. Other big names set to appear across the soundtrack include Pusha T and Haim, who join Lorde and Q-Tip on the opening track, ‘Stromae: Meltdown’.
There’s also Chvrches, Tove Lo, Bat For Lashes and Raury, all contributing exclusive tracks. Grace Jones, Tinashé and XOV complete the line-up.
“The cast and story are an inspiration for all musicians participating and, as someone with cinematic leanings, being privy to a different creative process has been a unique experience. I think the soundtrack is definitely going to surprise people,” says the New Zealander about her curation role.
