Under the westway?
Blur have hidden ‘The Magic Whip’ comic books around the UK
The band teamed up with Hong Kong based artist Kongkee for super-limited copies of ‘Travel To Hong Kong With Blur’.
As a visual accompaniment to their recent album ‘The Magic Whip,’ Blur have teamed up with Hong Kong-based artist Kongkee for a new comic book called ‘Travel To Hong Kong With Blur’. The super-limited 24-page comic is available from today (June 9th). But, there’s one big catch.
Blur, who tour the UK this week, have hidden copies of the comic in the cities they’re playing - Glasgow, Blackpool, and Llandudno. Fans will have to follow a treasure hunt of clues laid out on Blur’s twitter account. Earlier today, the band said “CLUE 1: Sitting on a shelf, where Good books live…”. The comic has since been found by a fan, who gets to keep the comic, and a signed print by the artist Kongkee.
Fans going to the remaining Blur gigs this week also have the chance to grab a copy of ‘Travel To Hong Kong With Blur’. Could it be under the westway? Down lonesome street? We’ll just have to wait and see.
