The Last Shadow Puppets have “finished” their second album
James Ford has spilled the beans. It’s out next year.

The Last Shadow Puppets - the sharp-suited project of Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner and his best mate Miles Kane - have “finished” their second album.
This is according to producer James Ford (of Simian Mobile Disco), who also drums on the project. Ford was speaking to Chilean site Rock & Pop, listing off all the records he’s worked on while also spilling the beans. “This year, I’ve just done a Last Shadow Puppets record, which is the guy from Arctic Monkeys and Miles. So we did the follow-up album to that. That’s the last thing I did,” he said.
Ford also confirmed that Last Shadow Puppets’ second album will be out sometime in 2016. The full interview is available to listen to here.
Earlier this year, Owen Pallett tweeted that he was working on a “classic” record with the group, but he’s since deleted the tweet. It initially read: “That rare and thrilling moment when the record you’re working on crosses the threshold into Classic Status #tlsp2.”
The group’s debut album came out in 2008. Watch ‘The Age of the Understatement’ below.
