SASAMI confirms details of debut album

The LA-based artist’s debut record will be out in March.

LA-based musician SASAMI has announced details of her debut full-length album.

Sasmi, who used to be in Cherry Glazerr, is releasing the self-titled album on 9th March via Domino.

Speaking about the record SASAMI - aka Sasami Ashworth - explains: “It’s a mix of a diary and a collection of letters, written but never sent, to people I’ve been intimately involved with in one way or another… Ok, maybe they’re more like over-dramatic drafts of texts that you compose in the Notes section of your iPhone, but either way, they come from a place of getting something off my chest.”

She wrote the album’s ten tracks over the course of a year on tour, whilst playing keys and guitar with Cherry Glazerr.

She’s also due to play a live show at the Lexington in London on 8th March.

Alongside the album announcement, she’s also released the video for album track ‘Jealousy’ - watch it below.
