Jamie xx airs new single, ‘All Under One Roof Raving’
London producer has also confirmed a second appearance at Glastonbury 2014.
Jamie xx is in the middle of finishing two albums; his new solo LP and the third xx album. Last night he aired a brand new track on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show, called ‘All Under One Roof Raving’.
The track’s playable from the 59:30 mark on BBC iPlayer here - it’s an homage to the UK rave and garage culture, recorded while Jamie xx was on tour. “I wanted to record something that reminded me of home,” he explained to Mac.
Alongside the new track, Jamie xx also confirmed that he’ll be making a special appearance at Glastonbury on the BBC Introducing stage. He’ll also make an appearance on the Wow! stage, Friday 27th June - plus there’s a back-to-back DJ set with Spanish producer John Talabot from midnight on Saturday 28th June.
The xx are meanwhile in the middle of songwriting sessions out in Texas, according to XL’s in house producer Rodaidh McDonald.
