The Japanese House streams ‘Pools to Bathe In’ track
Dirty Hit release the 19 year old’s debut EP this April.
Earlier this month, 19 year old Londoner The Japanese House released her debut track, ‘Still’. No big deal, but it winded up being Zane Lowe’s last ever Hottest Record, ending an era and - by default - helping to kickstart a new one. Nothing sits easily with this newcomer’s music, be it the distant stop-start acoustic keys or the vocoder-bathed vocals.
It’s especially the case on new song ‘Pools to Bathe In’, which dips in and out of consciousness. Barely-there minimalism sets the agenda, like if James Blake had a hand in producing early Imogen Heap, of all things. Listen to the new track below.
The Japanese House releases her debut ‘Pools to Bathe In’ EP on 27th April via Dirty Hit.
