Girl Band unveil ‘Paul’
Monster of a track is taken from debut album ‘Holding Hands With Jamie’.
Dublin force Girl Band have unveiled ‘Paul’, a dastardly highlight from their debut album ‘Holding Hands With Jamie’.
The seven-minute track - which ranges from dank, echo chamber chants to piercing noise - is a prime example of Girl Band’s tight tense of control. It arrives backed by a surreal video documenting the life of a guy who dresses up as a pig for a living. The Dubliners make quick cameos in the clip, and it ends in a dramatic, hilarious climax. Never mess with a pig.
‘Paul’ is coming out as a separate 12” single - pre-order here. The debut album is out 25th September on Rough Trade Records.
Girl Band appear at London’s Visions Festival, taking place Saturday 8th August.
