Perfume Genius, Creeper, Best Coast and Jade Bird are four of the first artists announced to be performing live as part of a new streaming series, organised by live agency Wasserman Music and livestreaming channel Twitch.
There is Light will launch this evening with a show from Perfume Genius from LA’s Lodge Room, and will play host to twenty shows in total until 28th September. Performances will be streamed from venues in both the UK and US, and other artists confirmed to play include Porches, Cautious Clay, Orla Gartland, JPEGMAFIA, The Snuts, and Two Feet.
Streamed completely live and free to view, US-based shows will take place on Tuesdays at 8pm ET / 5pm (or 1am UK time, for any night owls) while the UK shows will be streamed on Sundays at 8pm BST. Each show will run for 90 minutes and will include an opening act as well as the headline performance, before a special fan Q&A with Twitch users will conclude the show. The shows will all be streamed via There is Light’s Twitch channel.
And that’s not all: DIY are the official media partners for There is Light’s UK shows - while BrooklynVegan will be the series’ US counterpart - meaning you can get all the goss right here from yours truly.
