Angel Olsen Announces New Album, ‘Burn Your Fire For No Witness’

Chicago-based musician Angel Olsen has announced plans to release a new album next year, via Jagjaguwar.

Olsen’s last release - ‘Half Way Home’ - was a folk-touched work released on Bathetic Records. On that record, her voice was the focus, but on the basis of new album ‘Burn Your Fire For No Witness” first taster, she’s switching things up.

Singing about ‘wasting my time / making up my mind’, there’s a spitting venom that defines new song ‘Forgiven/Forgotten’. It’s anything but a straight-down-the-line punk track - more, it’s Olsen showcasing her talent in the form of a ragged, 2-minute burst of frustation.

Listen below and check out ‘Burn Your Fire For No Witness” tracklist. The album’s out on 18th February through Jagjaguwar. Angel Olsen plays London Forum on 12th December.
