DIY Presents: Future Islands, Sound Control, Manchester
Expect ‘Singles’ and plenty of signature Samuel T. Herring dance moves.

Last week Future Islands frontman Samuel T. Herring coined an internet meme of his own by dancing like he’d never dance before during an appearance on Letterman. It put the Baltimore band on the map, just weeks ahead of their 4AD-prepped album ‘Singles’.
We’re delighted to announce that we’re teaming up with Now Wave to put on a Future Islands show at Manchester’s Sound Control. Expect the group to run through their brilliant back catalogue as well as rejoicing in their new-found reputation as dancefloor mavericks.
Taking place on 8th May, SoundControl hosts Future Islands, Ed Schrader’s Music Beat and Kristian Harting. Tickets are available in advance for £11.50 from Piccadilly Records and online via seetickets.com.
Let’s watch that Letterman performance again, shall we?
