After what feels like one of the longest winters ever, it’s officially spring! Over the last few weeks we’ve had a cheeky little heatwave, can finally see a couple of friends outdoors again, and the opening of pubs is actually visible on the horizon! Halle-bloody-lujah!

But before we all get too excited about all this new-found freedom, we best introduce you to our new issue. This month, we’re going full on escapism and hopping in our time machine to head back to ’70s New York; all at the invitation of the one and only, St. Vincent. As iconic as ever, her gritty-but-fabulous new record ‘Daddy’s Home’ once again boasts a technicolour world of delights, and we’re thrilled to step into it with you.

“I think of things theatrically,” she tells us, of this new chapter in her career, “so I want to make sure that the artwork and my clothes and my imaging and everything tells the story of the album. I want it so that if people look back on the project, they go, ‘Oh yeah, that was that era’. Also it’s fun for me to get to be pretty much a different person every three years. And it’s not as if any of these traits aren’t in me - it’s just sort of a question of what you turn up and what you turn down.”

Elsewhere this month, we get the gossip on Wolf Alice’s long-awaited return, dive into the incredible world of girl in red (and get a couple of her fans involved at the same time), and discover what lies within Royal Blood’s third album ‘Typhoons’.

There are also chats with Dry Cleaning, Manchester Orchestra, Holly Humberstone, The Horrors and Kero Kero Bonito. Plus, we speak to none other than the legend that is Tom Jones. Yes, you read that right… Tom Jones. And in this month’s Neu section, we’re highlighting incredible new artists Greentea Peng, Skullcrusher, NewDad and Chloe Moriondo.
