Alabama Shakes Currently Set To Top UK Album Charts
The Athens, Alabama outfit are leading the pack in the Official Albums Chart.

Alabama Shakes are currently ruffling the feathers of mainstream darlings Adele and Nicki Minaj, as they enter the UK album charts at Number 1.
The Athens, Alabama outfit are leading the pack in the Official Albums Chart update that was released today, with their debut full-length ‘Boys & Girls’.
Released through Rough Trade Records, the album boasts the insatiable soul offering ‘Hold On’, that has already solidified itself as a modern day classic.
In the meantime, Adele is flagging behind - can you really ever say she’s flagging at this point though? - in Number 2, whilst Nicki Minaj’s ‘Pink Friday – Roman Reloaded’ looks destined for Number 3.
