Alfie Templeman shares new video and announces EP ‘Sunday Morning Cereal’

The announcement comes with a video for ‘Stop Thinking (About Me)’ shot entirely on an iPhone.

16-year-old Alfie Templeman has revealed his second EP ‘Sunday Morning Cereal’ via Chess Club Records.

The EP follows popular singles ‘Like An Animal’ and ‘Stop Thinking (About Me)’ – a track that he’s also just released a video for, shot entirely on an iPhone as part of Apple’s new #shotoniphone campaign (watch below).

‘Sunday Morning Cereal’ was completely self-produced in his bedroom at home in Carlton, he plays every instrument heard himself apart from the trumpets heard on ‘Busy’, which were provided by his 12-year-old sister. The musical talent is obvs in the genes.

Alfie’s explained the processes behind the EP stating that: “There’s a lot of RnB and Indie coming together in this record. I wanted to experiment a little more with groovy drum beats and ‘90s hip hop synths while keeping the indie slacker vibe of my first EP.”

This year has been a hectic one for Alfie, not only is he leaving school, but he’s made his first ever London appearance back in April, he’s releasing this EP and he’s midway through a summer full of festival appearances.

We sat down with Alfie recently to find out a bit more about the the young star winning over so many people, read our Get to Know feature with him in full here.
