Fresh off the rumour mill
Bestival set to cross the Atlantic for US event?
According to The Telegraph, Rob Da Bank will sign a distribution deal next week.

This year’s edition of Bestival has yet to even get under way, and there’s already whispers that the event may well be expanding to a territory far, far away.
According to a recent interview with The Telegraph, it looks as though Bestival will be heading Stateside, with the event’s organiser Rob Da Bank due to sign a distribution deal with a North American partner next week.
Not only that, he might well be sending it to mainland Europe too. “Next week,” states the article, “Rob Da Bank will sign a distribution deal to launch the festival in North America through a partner organisation, which will be followed by other territories across Europe.”
There’s also a quote from the man himself about the concept of the future expansion, with him saying: “The deal has been a long time coming. I’ve never been in this industry for the money but now I’m 40 with three small kids, it’s time to get business minded.”
Whilst nothing has yet been confirmed, it’s expected that an official announcement will come from the Bestival camp next week.
In the meantime, get ready for this year’s edition of the Isle of Wight event - which takes place from 4th to 7th September at Robin Hill Country Park - by having a listen to Outkast, who’ll be performing at the weekender, below.
